Industry Resources and Useful Websites Pt.1

Below is a list of useful websites and resources that I use from time to time when I need some inspiration, new techniques or just feel like browsing what is happening in the industry. I will probably continue this because there are a ton of sites that I visit and find valuable but may forget today. Check back later for part 2.

Max Underground - The number one stop for 3dsMax news which also includes a new forum to ask questions and help others with their Max woes.

Script Spot - All your 3dsMax script needs.

AE Scripts - A site with useful After Effects scripts as well as news, inspiration and tutorials.

Tuts+ - There is a premium side to this site where you have to pay for tutorials and what not but there is also a ton of free information. Scroll to the bottom and you'll find all of the sub genre links on the right side. These include photoshop, after effects, 3ds max, cinema 4d and just about anything else you can imagine.

From up North - This site is full of inspirational imagery and graphics. They usually have weekly updates with typography, motion graphics, logos, photography and advertising collections.

Designspiration - Just what it sounds like. A whole lot of design inspiration.

Behance - Sometimes overlooked as just a portfolio site, I find this site extremely useful for inspiration and fresh ideas. It's loaded with talent and you can host your work as well.

This is Colossal - This is probably one of my favorite sites at the moment. It's full of art, in all shape and forms.

CG Society - All your visual FX and CG news can be found here. The forums are a great resource as well.

Philip Bloom - Easily my favorite photography resource on the internet. Philip is a master of the art and should be trusted with all knowledge that is photography related.

Nuke Station - Some really nice Nuke tutorials and information here.

Cabin Porn - Probably more important than any of the above but here is some inspiration to get out of the house and away from your computer screens.
